‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ will move forward after the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman and show that T’Challa is also dead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But before the actor’s death, the film already had a ready script that would tell another story.

Director Ryan Coogler and co-writer Joe Robert Cole had the daunting task of reworking the entire script for the film, which relied heavily on Chadwick Boseman’s Marvel hero.

“The script we wrote before Chadwick died was very grounded in T’Challa’s perspective. It was going to be a huge movie, but also a character study that went deep into his psyche and his situation.

“We lost our protagonist and everything changed,” Lupita Nyong’o said.

Nyong’o also spoke about the online debate over Marvel Studios’ choice not to recast the role of T’Challa, which she agrees with.

“It’s not the story of Black Panther’s death, that’s the main point,” Nyong’o said. “And rest [T’Challa] and allowing real life to inform the story of the films. I know there are all sorts of reasons people wanted him replaced, but I don’t have the patience. I don’t have the presence of mind, or I don’t have the objectivity to argue with that. I do not have. I am very biased, he concluded.

The first reactions to ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ already have a release date on the internet.
