‘Black Panther 2’: Director Reveals What Original Plot Would Be Starring Chadwick Boseman

In an interview with Inverse, director Ryan Coogler revealed the original plans for the “Black Panther 2” sequel, before the tragic death of star Chadwick Boseman.

The original sequel would pick up immediately after the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” with the return of King T’Challa – and half the universe’s population – five years after Thanos snapped his fingers.

“I would say the tone of the original story [da sequência] it would be very similar. [T’Challa] he would mourn the time he had wasted after ceasing to exist for five years. As a man with so much responsibility to others, the story would depict what it would be like to return after five years away. He would mourn the time he couldn’t come back. Mourning was already a big part of the story.

He completes “[Namor] was always considered the antagonist of the sequel. There would be other characters, of course, that we considered including… But Namor was always a certainty.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the sequel opens November 10 and also stars Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira and Michaela Coel.
