According to projections, the feature film starring Dwayne Johnson should open with $60 million at the US box office, facing no competition from “Halloween Ends” (which topped the box office last week).

The main hurdle is the romantic comedy Ticket to Heaven, starring Julia Roberts and George Clooney, which is expected to gross another $15 million.

‘Black Adam’ will be screened in 4,350 theaters in North America, but it is not yet known how much it will earn. Predictions, however, indicate that the production is not expected to exceed the number of “Batman”, which was released in March this year and grossed $770 million worldwide.

Nearly 5,000 years after being gifted with the omnipotent powers of the Egyptian gods – and just as quickly arrested – Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

The film will also star Justice Society members Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Crusher (Noah Centineo), and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell).

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (‘Águas Rasas’), the feature film will take place in the same universe as ‘Shazam!’.
