‘Black Adam’ continues to dominate the big screen! In less than three weeks, the DC film managed to surpass the $300 million mark at the worldwide box office.

For the third consecutive weekend, the production remained at the top of the North American box office. With a drop of only -33%, the film earned $18.5 million in its third weekend, surpassing the first animated film “One Piece Film: Red”, which came in second with 9 .5 million dollars.

In the United States, the film with Dwayne Johnson has already grossed 137.4 million dollars. In the international market, it was $182.3 million. In total, production already amounts to 319.6 million US dollars worldwide.

Despite the strong performance, Deadline says “Black Adam” isn’t expected to earn the same profit as “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.” The site claims that in addition to The Rock’s new adventure’s much larger budget, the DC film is expected to close its collection at around $400 million worldwide – just over half the amount raised by the spin. -off “Hobbs & Shaw”. (US$759 million).

Analysts say the result is an example that the film market has yet to fully recover from the pandemic, which can jeopardize ambitious projects with gigantic budgets.
