According to Deadline, Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead”) and Ali Wong (“My Eternal Maybe“) will star in “Beef”, a new comedy series developed by Netflix.
Yeun and Wong will also serve as executive producers on the series, which will have 10 episodes.
The project premiered earlier this month and quickly received the nod from Netflix, following a competitive situation with other streaming services, which involved Amazon, Apple TV +, and FX.
The plot will follow Yeun and Wong as two people who let an incident on the road seep into their minds and slowly consume all of their thoughts and actions.
The series was created by Lee Sung Jin (“2 Broke Girls”).
It should be remembered that this month Yeun made history when he became the first Asian-American actor to win an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, for his work in the film “Minari”. “Beef” will mark his first fixed role in a television series since “The Walking Dead”.
