“Batwoman”: Victoria Cartagena will play Renee Montoya in season 3
According to Deadline, Victoria Cartagena (‘Manifesto’) has joined the cast of ‘Batwoman’ season 3.
The actress will play Renee Montoya – the same DC Comics character she once played in the ‘Gotham’ series. Despite this, it should be noted that this will be a NEW version of the character, given that the series is set in different universes.
In the series, the character will be a former Gotham cop, who left the force because it can no longer tolerate corruption within the organization. Acting alone, she now heads the “freaks” division, who are starting to see the real action.
Renee Montoya is described as fair and pragmatic. She’s an LGBTQ + woman with a personal (and mysterious) mission to help clean the streets of Gotham the right way, by any means necessary.
The cast includes Javicia Leslie, Meagan Tandy, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis, Camrus Johnson, Rachel Skarsten, Nicole Kang and Gabriel Mann.
