In the upcoming “Batman” movie, director Matt Reeves is tasked with reimagining all kinds of Batman-related elements.

And the filmmaker told Empire magazine he thought of every detail in creating his version of the iconic hero, including inspiration for the Batmobile.

Reeves said the vehicle was directly inspired by “Christine the Car Killer,” the classic novel by author Stephen King.

For those who don’t remember, Christine is a 1958 Plymouth Fury model that is restored by a teenage girl and comes to life on her own in revenge on anyone who torments her new owner.

“I thought this Batmobile was meant to be not only intimidating, but something dark. So I almost thought of it as a version of ‘Christine’ by Stephen King. I liked the idea of the car itself. as a horror figure, with an animal look to really scare the people who are being chased by Batman.

As seen in the trailers, the new Batmobile isn’t just a tactical vehicle, it also has a really scary look with its bodywork revealing gears and releasing flames all around.
