The CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav has finally explained why he decided to cancel “Batgirl” and other DC projects.
“To be honest, we got rid of productions that didn’t help us. It’s more than counting the dollars we save on an eventual expense. It’s more than numbers. It is about restructuring and organizing this universe. We want more quality than quantity,” he said.
Recently, it was revealed the amount received by star Michael Keaton (“Birdman”), for his participation, even without the first feature film.
According to information from The Hollywood Reporter, Keaton was paid $2 million for the week he was on set — yes, he only filmed a week.
Recall that the costs with Michael Keaton are part of the total of 90 million dollars that Warner spent to produce ‘Batgirl’. So, would you still cancel the movie after all that expense?
