According to What’s on Netflix, recording began this month for ‘From’, the upcoming horror series developed by Epix and distributed by Netflix outside of the United States.
Produced by Anthony and Joe Russo (‘Avengers: Ultimatum’), the series was written by John Griffin (‘Shameless’) and will be directed by Jack Bender, known for his work in leading productions such as ‘Soprano Family’ , “Lost” and “Game of Thrones”.
Still no premiere, the plot takes place in an American city that imprisons all who enter it.
As the locals struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and seek a way out, they must also survive threats from the surrounding forest, including the terrifying creatures that appear when the sun goes down.
Despite the challenges, the fragile city holds firm by the rules of Sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau Jr.) as he attempts to escape this heartbreaking nightmare himself.
In addition to Perrineau Jr., other cast members announced so far include Eion Bailey (“Once Upon a Time”) and Catalina Sandino Moreno (“Maria Cheia de Graça”).
As the project is still in its early stages, updates are expected to be released throughout the recordings.
