It was revealed this Monday (04) who the real villains of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ will be, these, however, do not come as a big surprise to fans who have seen the first film.
According to producer Jon Landau, in an interview he gave to Empire, the human enterprise RDA will once again be an antagonist in the film, bringing in previously known villains in “Avatar 2.”
The main difference this time is that they will have a group called Recoms, which will be avatars with human memories. The group will have a town called Bridhehead as their base of operations.
“They’re coming back with an armada to reclaim the precious asset they’ve lost… This is the scale of the GDR,” said Landau, who assures fans of an experience never seen before.

It opens in national cinemas on December 15.
More than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of the Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the problems that accompany them, the efforts that they do to protect, the fights they fight for survival and the tragedies they endure.
Directed by Cameron, the film stars Zoë Saldaña, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi and Kate Winslet.
Cameron has been developing the sequels for over a decade. The studio has announced four “Avatar” sequels, two of which are already filmed and the other two are awaiting box office results. The filmmaker shot the two films back to back due to the way the scenes needed to be captured.
