‘Avatar 2’: SECOND official image features Spider, the franchise’s newest character

‘Avatar 2’ has released its second official image, which features the franchise’s new character.

There we meet Miles Socorro (Jack Champion) – also known as Spider – a human child who grew up in Pandora. He was protected and taken in by Jake (Sam Worthington), but is not well liked by Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), who considers him to be one of those who killed his father.

The long-awaited sequels will present a contrast between two worlds and according to filmmaker James Cameron, fans can look forward to scenes set on planet Earth.

The information was shared in a recent interview with Variety magazine. At the time, the director had referred to the acclaimed “Duna” remake, pointing out that “Avatar” would follow a similar premise:

“Just as Dune takes place in some worlds, the Avatar sequels will take place between two worlds, as part of the plot will take place on Earth, as the story unfolds.”

“Avatar 2” will have as parents Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and will take place several years after the first film.

In the plot, the idyllic Sully’s life is interrupted when RDA mining returns to Pandora, forcing Jake to take the family to “what is considered a safe haven” on the reef.

“And when you get to the reef, there will be a clan that we call the Metkayina. The Sullys are no longer in the environment they know, the tropical forest. They become fish out of the water. They become culturally and ecologically fish out of the water, ”he concluded.

‘Avatar 2’ has been confirmed for December 16, 2023. It should be remembered that this is the seventh time that the footage has been postponed.
