Attention, worms found in this jam: here is the one!

In recent hours, news has alarmed many mothers, worrying them very much. All the major newspapers are busy spreading somewhat disconcerting news: worms have been found in packets of jam that had been served to primary school children in the Milanese hinterland. According to what appears from some leaked rumors, the children hardly saw the contaminated packages, because they were immediately taken and sent to the entomology laboratory to carry out all the necessary analyzes.

The most important analysis concerns the identification of the nature of these insects. In concrete terms, two packages were analysed: in one case the contamination took place during the storage phase, in the other case, on the other hand, the experts communicate that it is a worm originating from the collection of the product itself and unidentified during the entire production chain and therefore also arrived at the end. The company immediately wanted to make its position known, announcing that checks were not omitted throughout the collection and production chain and that the situation of foreign body contamination was created accidentally.

The families of the schoolchildren concerned are not there. They say they are tired of this situation, stressing that this is not the first case of contamination by insects or worms and that therefore the justifications presented by the company in question are not reliable. Apparently, this company often supplies schools with contaminated food: sometimes bread, sometimes cockroaches in main dishes or other unidentified insects in pasta.

Many, not seeing the real situation, thought that it was the usual whims that many children have, but unfortunately this is not the case: they are, in fact, hygiene/health rules that are totally ignored, putting children’s health at risk. Parents tired of this situation decided to contact the competent authorities. Indeed, they went to the Public Prosecutor’s Office by filing a complaint in order to activate all the hygiene/health checks against the company concerned.

They decided to denounce the individual episodes in which the children had to deal with insects of all kinds and, as a result, went several times without lunch. According to our regulations, the company will now have to be subject to strict controls by local health authorities and beyond. In addition, he will have to answer in the way that it is possible that such important rules were ignored.
