Enjoy watching:

“There is seldom a moment that doesn’t seem haunted by the sickening, thrilling promise of sudden violence or epiphany.” – Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly

“A beautifully crafted film with a few individual scenes which are some of the most tense I have experienced in a while.” – Glenn Kenny, RogerEbert.com

“Cumberbatch faces a breathtaking performance, perhaps the best of all, with excessive bravado that seems to consume Phil from within. The intolerable fire of his pent-up truth arises as resentment. – Carlos Aguilar, TheWrap

“Benedict Cumberbatch and Jane Campion, receive the honors.” – Kevin Maher, Times (UK)

“Campion is a master at interweaving characters and plot, so revealing one pushes the other.” – Sophie Monks Kaufman, Little White Lies

“Campion preserves the simplicity of Savage’s prose with the understated ease of her own narrative, and she always finds a compelling way to navigate the novel’s somewhat outdated Freudian concepts.” – Bilge Ebiri, New York Magazine / Vautour

The film is based on the book Thomas Savage.
