The long-awaited post-apocalyptic film “ Army of the Dead: Las Vegas Invasion ” debuts on Netflix on May 21, and director Zack Snyder is already interested in making a sequel.
The filmmaker revealed the news during an interview with CBR.
When asked if he intends to expand the feature film universe, he made no secret of his excitement, saying:
“Well, absolutely. I don’t know if I can say that. But suffice to say that, yes, I am very excited about the idea. If it was possible, or if anyone was interested … It would be fun to continue the adventures of this universe.
Previously, Snyder had previously told Variety that the feature would get an animated pre-sequence.
The animated series, “Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas”, will focus on the character of Dave Bautista, from the original film. Snyder will be responsible for directing two episodes and Jay Oliva will be the production showrunner.
Additionally, the franchise is set to win another pre-streak, with no title announced, set in another country. The production is described as an “international prequel”.
