Since early January, Armie Hammer has been the subject of bizarre controversy after being accused of sexual abuse and cannibalism.

The most recent complaint was brought by a young woman identified only as Effie, who claimed the actor raped her and kept her in private jail for more than four hours.

As a result, Hammer lost contracts with agencies and producers and was also forced to abandon future projects already in development.

In the final chapter of this controversy, Glamurama reported that the actor’s ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, said her demeanor has changed since taking part in the ‘Call Me By Your Name’ movie.

The adaptation of the eponymous book directed by Luca Guadagnino brought Hammer as one of the protagonists, alongside Thimotée Chamalet.

The plot tells the story of a romance between Elio (Chalamet), a 17-year-old, and Oliver (Hammer), a guest of his father, during the family’s summer vacation on the Italian Riviera.

Chambers told friends and the US press that the ex-husband started to get violent and became someone else since he was closest to Chalamet.

For her, the film ended up leaving irreversible psychological traces on Hammer.

For this reason, she even forbade him to participate in the sequence of the feature film, already confirmed by Guadagnino, but still without a premiere date.

This would have been the main reason for the end of their marriage.

No further details have been revealed, but Hammer remains under investigation and it appears his future as an actor is increasingly uncertain.

In any case, Guadagino revealed to the Italian site La Repubblica that he was expecting Hammer following ‘Call Me By Your Name‘, titled ‘Find Me’.

“Of course, it’s a great pleasure to work with Timothée Chalamet, Armie Hammer, Michael Stuhlbarg, Esther Garrel and the other actors, who will all be in the new film.”

For those who don’t know, “Me Find” follows Elio and Oliver’s encounters and disagreements after the events of the summer of 1983, and the plot is spread over 10, 15, and 20 years, showing the evolution. of each of them.

Recalling that the original feature film won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for James Ivory, and a nomination for Best Actor for Chalamet.

With a budget of US $ 3.5 million, adaptation has raised US $ 42 million worldwide.
