‘Mad Max: Furiosa’, pre-sequel to ‘Fury Road’, had its shoot recently closed and soon will bring Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy (“Man from the North”) as the titular character.
And, during an interview with IndieWire, the star gave some details about the production, saying it was the dirtiest and bloodiest film she had ever made.
“That movie was the dirtiest and bloodiest job I’ve ever done, and that’s saying something… But I have a lot of fun whenever I get dirty or bloody and not perfectly formal and pretty. When I amuse me, I feel more comfortable. So yeah, ‘Furiosa’ was definitely fun.
She continued, unable to contain her enthusiasm for the project and the work of her colleagues:
“I have been on another planet for the past seven months. I think now I have to sit down and try to digest what happened during this time. But I’m incredibly, incredibly proud of it, and I’m so proud of everyone I’ve worked with. A lot of love, effort, and sacrifice has gone into it, and I’m thrilled to watch.

Recalling that the film which should debut in 2024 and is directed by George Miller, who commissioned the previous film.
Released in 2015, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ is considered a success by specialized critics, reaching 97% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, in addition to receiving six Oscar statuettes among ten nominations.
Despite this, the film only grossed US$378.9 million worldwide, on a budget of US$150 million.
