Between Antonella and Eddy it was immediately love: they met in Morocco during vacation and love broke out in the early 2000s. Their story is however the subject of gossip and especially criticism. Eddy is 13 years younger than the Italian presenter and works as a tourist entertainer. In addition, many notes fall on the color of the boy’s skin, impinging on racism in its own right. Their story, although still in the eye of the storm, is moving forward at full speed. On February 21, 2009, Maëlle was born, now 12 years old.
Something, however, is wrong with the relationship, as it should be. Discussions become more frequent, compromises are not found and certainties in the couple are less. The two decide to break up, but without revealing the details to the newspapers. In the first days after their separation, Eddy speaks well of his ex-partner, underlining how much he missed the family unit built with Clerici. Some time later, Eddy himself issued poisonous statements not only against Antonella, but against all of Italy.
Eddy’s Bitterness
Eddy Martens gave an interview to Chi magazine a few months ago, digging into never-before-revealed details about the relationship with presenter Antonella. His memories, alive on all topics, burn bright. About their love, he said: “When Antonella revealed our love, I was the target of outrageous criticism bordering on racism. He took me to work on TV, as the author of his show, knowing that I would make it and I suffered a lynching never seen before. I feel nauseous just remembering. When Antonella chose her and me, it was not a game. We had a girl that I love but we fought there was never a compromise Okay I was the youngest black guy who wanted to work so what is the problem it took time it needed words.”
The family reunited
Rare are the occasions that allow the family to reunite. Eddy, wistfully and with a hint of sadness, said, “I miss my daughter a lot. I can’t educate him as I would like and living at a distance makes everything more difficult. I see her during the holidays. But that’s not enough, I really miss my daughter.”
The daughter, born to the couple, is now a beautiful, outgoing and sunny teenager. Unfortunately, he rarely sees his father. Today, Eddy lives in Belgium, works as a barber and has a girlfriend, Carmen Carrasco, 6 years his senior.
