The script for “The Batman” sequel is in development, and Andy Serkis, who plays Alfred in the Matt Reeves-directed film, should help out with some interesting ideas. In an interview with Screen Rant, Serkis revealed that he would like to see Neil Gaiman’s Sandman in the new title.

The actor revealed that he had no concrete information on “The Batman 2” with Robert Pattinson, nor on the future of his character in the story created by Matt Reeves. However, he praised the director’s work and gave his crossover idea.

“I don’t know where we are with Alfred right now. I don’t know where this leads. I’m sure Matt Reeves is going to create something amazing because he always does. He’s another terrific storyteller who always gets to the heart. In terms of villains, I’d like to see…Sandman. A kind of crossover. I think that would be interesting,” Serkis said.

Recalling that ‘Batman 2’ has already been confirmed, but is in the early stages of production. We know the script is being developed by Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin.

In the meantime, it’s worth remembering that “Batman” is now available on HBO Max.
