Robert KingYoung star Ana de Armas, 34, is forever to be commended for her achievement — for being able to break into a market as competitive as Hollywood, which often doesn’t even give Native Americans a chance. It turns out that the actress left Cuba, her country of origin, becoming one of the few acting talents in the country to export to the United States and the world. Ana de Armas is definitely the number one Cuban in Hollywood, which makes her compatriots very proud. The actress has already been in major productions of the biggest studios in the mecca of cinema, participating in renowned franchises. Good contacts help, but it also takes talent. Apart from that, the actress has starred in two films alongside our Wagner Moura, who is turning around and also finding work in Uncle Sam’s land.
His most recent release, the super-production Hidden Agent (one of the most expensive films in Netflix history) is already the new success of his career, having marked the general public. The Gray Man became the second biggest debut in Netflix history, having been watched for 88.5 million hours in its first weekend. Apart from that, Netflix has already confirmed the continuation of the feature, as well as a spin-off. In the plot, Armas plays Dani Miranda, a CIA agent who ends up allying himself with the hunted protagonist, played by Ryan Gosling. The Latin star has worked with both idols before, making The Hidden Agent his second collaboration with Gosling and Chris Evans. Without giving away too much of a spoiler, suffice it to say that both films will appear here in these lists.

Have fun watching:
We begin the top 5 of the best films of the Cuban Ana de Armas with this detective thriller with a solid cast and produced by the same directors as John Wick and Sicario. The protagonist is Swedish Joel Kinnaman, in the role of an ex-con forced by the authorities to serve as an informant for his former colleagues in the Polish mafia. He begins to see the siege close when his wife and daughter are threatened. Ana de Armas plays the protagonist’s wife, Sofia. The film also features appearances by British Oscar nominees Rosamund Pike and Clive Owen.
Directed by Todd Phillips, the same from the phenomenon Joker (2019) and the comedy trilogy If You Drink, Don’t Marry, it is one of the most underrated films of the director’s career, and one that has remained relatively empty without many even knowing it. Despite this, here is the recommendation for everyone to find and watch the film, because in the opinion of fans and critics, it is number 4 of the best of Ana de Armas. In the plot, Miles Teller and Jonah Hill play the role of two friends who invest in the career of illegal gun dealers, making contact with all kinds of dangerous people. The actress plays Teller’s character’s girlfriend, here in one of her first and important steps on the career ladder.
3. 007 – No Time To Die (2021)
The last episode of the 007 franchise, the most enduring of cinema, was a huge success and was at the origin – with Fast and Furious 9 and Spider-Man: No Return Home – of the return of the general public to theaters. It’s the kind of spectacle cinema that succeeds in captivating audiences and attracting crowds. Who could verify Daniel Craig’s departure from the role, after five films as a spy, was only praise for Ana de Armas’ performance as the clumsy but extremely efficient and murderous Cuban agent Paola, which stole the scene in the brief sequence that appears, and leaves everyone wanting more, wanting a derivative just with the character. Hollywood, please make it happen!
Another iconic and millionaire Hollywood property, in which Ana de Armas got her feet wet with a very large stake. As indicated at the beginning of the text, Armas and Ryan Gosling had already collaborated, and the project that brought them together for the first time was this work by the famous Denis Villeneuve. Obviously, it’s the belated sequel to cult classic Blade Runner – The Android Hunter, which turns 40 in 2022. In the film, the actress plays Joi, essentially a “bouncy doll from the future.” Joking aside, Joi is an artificial intelligence in the manner of Ela (2013), only with the forms of the actress thanks to hologram technology. She serves as a companion to the protagonist played by Gosling, a lone replicant who works as Blade Runner.
First among Ana de Armas’ best films in the opinion of critics and audiences is the first partnership between the actress and actor Chris Evans. After Hidden Agent, the two will resume their partnership again, in the romantic adventure Ghosted. But the first time they worked together was here in this thriller with a touch of social criticism and plenty of acid humor, which plays with the structure of Agatha Christie’s stories, modernizing it for new times. The elderly patriarch of a wealthy family dies with proof that he was murdered. Now his large family clan has a long list of suspects – as they all had their eyes on fortune. Ana de Armas plays an important role as Marta Cabrera, the Latino carer and best friend of the elderly, to whom the subject leaves its entire legacy. The woman ends up becoming a target for her family.
Opening the top 5 of the worst films of the Cuban career according to critics and fans, is this thriller released at the height of the pandemic and starring boy Tye Sheridan. The young actor plays Bart, a night hotel receptionist, who suffers from an autism-like clinical condition and has a habit of spying on customers through cameras. When a woman staying there is killed during her shift, the police begin to investigate the subject, who becomes the prime suspect. At the same time, he begins to develop a loving relationship with another guest, Ana de Armas, and must uncover the identity of the killer before she becomes the next victim.
4. Deep Water (2022)
It was supposed to be the masterful return of director Adrian Lyne, who has 80s classics like Flashdance, 9 1/2 Weeks of Love and Fatal Attraction, 90s like Indecent Proposal and 2000 like Infidelity. All of these have strong sexual content in their narrative, which is the line in which Waterdeep was also sold. Other than that, it’s an adaptation of a book by author Patricia Highsmith, the very one who served as the basis for movies like Sinister Pact, The Talented Ripley, and Carol. In the Gone Girl plot, Ben Affleck experiences another chaotic and unhealthy relationship, this time alongside the character of Ana de Armas. They are Vic and Melinda, a seemingly perfect couple who have a baby girl. But they like to spice up the relationship with the woman’s extramarital affairs – an excitement for both. However, things will spiral completely out of control.
This is the film that served as Ana de Armas’ gateway to Hollywood. The actress’ first American film. And it began to be directed by horror specialist Eli Roth in a work in which he stars with the “muse” Keanu Reeves. Remake of a 70s production, Armas and Lorenza Izzo, the director’s wife, play two beautiful young women who seem lost during a night of torrential rain outside the door of the guy played by Keanu Reeves. He is a family man who was left alone at home after his wife and daughter left to finish a job. It welcomes young women in need of shelter – a night which will bring many games of seduction and other more frightening ones. The film, however, did not settle in the tastes of critics and audiences, but served to energize Armas’ career in Hollywood.
Have you ever heard of this movie? Agree, almost no one heard. This is a B-action vehicle for Scott Eastwood, son of the legendary Clint Eastwood. The son, however, has failed to become a Hollywood star so far. Five years ago he tried with this “clone” of The Fast and the Furious, written by the same screenwriter of the second film in the aforementioned franchise. In the film, Eastwood plays a skilled car thief, who ends up captured by his latest victim and must make a deal to steal a rare car from a powerful man. Ana de Armas plays his partner in the fraud, in one of his notable roles early in his career in the United States.
When an actress or actor stands out in Hollywood cinema, there are many invitations to star in all kinds of films. It is necessary to select well and to have a reliable agent, who knows how to detect when the bet is right, or when it presents a risk. Well, after gaining attention in Bata Antes de Enter, Ana de Armas and her agent saw fit to repeat the double with star Keanu Reeves. And that might have been a good thing, but it turned out to be an unforgettable dramatic thriller, where Reeves plays a policeman trying to protect a woman – the role of Ana de Armas. Add supernatural elements to the storytelling worthy of late 1990s apocalyptic films. According to critics and fans, Daughter of God is the worst film of Ana de Armas’ young career to date, and may -to be the worst of Keanu Reeves too. .
