Amanda Seyfried says she doesn’t want to be in superhero movies

While participating in the big Marvel and DC movies is a dream for most actors, not all of them share the same desire. In an interview with the Associated Press, actress Amanda Seyfried revealed that she has no interest in appearing in superhero movies.

“I believe there aren’t a lot of agents who don’t think their clients won’t benefit from a great superhero movie. I really had to fight. I think superhero movies are wonderful; you can be transported to this incredible world that does not exist. But I’m not interested in something this physical, and I’m not a fan of the green screen. I want to have fun when I work. This has been the dark cloud that has hovered over me throughout my career and I don’t know how it will end. But it’s okay because, at the end of the day, my agents trust me and they know it’s not for everyone.

Previously, the actress revealed that she was asked to play Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise – a role that ultimately went to Zoë Saldaña.

“I often think about it. I don’t watch Marvel movies a lot and I think that’s why I thought, ‘Oh I don’t want to go green, that’s a lot of work. I remember Jennifer Lawrence talking about it once, how long it took for her to turn blue. And I was like, ‘It looks like hell on earth,’ because you go on set and stay there for a few hours and then you have to take it all back. And that was literally the reason, ”he said cheerfully.
