Ahsoka Cast & Characters Complete Guide

Ahsoka Cast & Characters Explored

The cast of Ahsoka plays an essential role. They all make this show more engaging and likable. The characters gave their best performance. 

Ahsoka Tano Played By Rosario Dawson

Ahsoka is the main lead of the show and thus has the deepest story out of all. Ahsoka has been played by Rosario, who has had quite the experience with playing a famous character in Marvel shows. She has displayed her talent in choreography and acting. 

As for her character Ahsoka, after being introduced in Clone Wars, she had quite a journey. Because of the training she had received from her teacher, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano was able to withstand Order 66 and go on to become a rebel agent during the Dark Times of the Empire’s rule.

After being inexplicably missing for years during the Galactic Civil War, she reappeared years later in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Ahsoka left the Jedi Order just before the Clone Wars came to a close, thus it’s uncertain if she is still a Jedi. However, it appears that she accepted her friend Sabine Wren as a Padawan. So, we can see her exploring this further as the season goes on.

Sabine Wren Played By Natasha Liu Bordizzo

Sabine Wren is the secondary protagonist of the series, and the honored padawan and best friend of Ahsoka. Natasha Liu is playing this role to absolute perfection, and she even studied and watched the entirety of the Star Wars Rebels show to make her character seem as authentic as possible.

In addition to portraying Helena in The Society, Bordizzo is most recognized for her roles in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, and The Greatest Showman on Netflix.

Sabine is a talented Mandalorian who was formerly left behind by her family because she refused to join the Empire after seeing its brutality. After that, she became a member of the motley gang known as the Ghost Crew, who were instrumental in the Rebel Alliance’s founding. Similar to Ahsoka, Sabine left Rebels promising to track down Ezra and Thrawn after they vanished in the series finale.

Ezra Bridger Played By Eman Esfandi

Ezra is the linchpin that started the Ahsoka plot, with his sacrifice fueling Ahsoka’s search for the imperial general. The character was played by Eman Esfandi who brought this character to life and played him quite well. Esfandi is a relatively obscure actor who gained notoriety for his roles in Red 11 [directed by Robert Rodriguez] and King Richard [a small part]. Additionally, he played the role of Ismail in the drama series The Inspection.

Ezra Bridger started as somewhat of a con artist, belonging to the planet Lothal, he was an orphan. When he happened to cross paths with the Ghost crew, his Force sensitivity caught their attention. As he developed in the Force and became a real Jedi, Ezra emerged as the primary character in Star Wars Rebels. In the end, he gave his life to vanquish Grand Admiral Thrawn, dragging Thrawn’s flagship into hyperspace with his purrgil, a connection between space whales.

Hera Syndulla Played By Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Hera Syndulla is one of the returning characters in the show. Played by the immensely talented Mary Winstead, who is quite interested in Star Wars and has played her role to an excellent degree. Winstead is renowned for her extensive Hollywood career, which includes parts in films such as Birds of Prey, Gemini Man, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Since Winstead is married to Ewan McGregor, the actor who portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel trilogy, Star Wars is a family affair for her.

As per her character Hera, she remains the general of the New Republic, earlier known as the rebellion forces. She has since played a mother figure for Ezra, as such we will be seeing a significant amount of her in the show focused on finding Ezra.

Huyang Played By David Tennant

Huyang has been in the Star Wars universe since the start, as a 25000 old droid, and is voiced by the very well-known actor David Tennant. Tennant’s most well-known role is probably that of Doctor Who’s Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors.

Crowley in Amazon Prime’s Good Omens, Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Kilgrave in Marvel’s Jessica Jones are among the other well-known parts. In this show, he teaches young Jedi how to make their first lightsaber and use it, and has been an inspirational yet fun character for us to look forward to.

Anakin Skywalker Played By Hayden Christensen

Anakin Skywalker will be coming back to the Star Wars universe with his original actor. It has been revealed that Hayden Christensen, who portrayed Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, will play Anakin in the show Ahsoka again.

After betraying Emperor Palpatine as Darth Vader, Anakin is perhaps the most important figure in the whole Skywalker tale because he brings balance back to the Force. During the Clone Wars, Skywalker was Ahsoka’s Jedi mentor, and the two developed an almost unbreakable friendship. Throughout Rebels, Anakin faced Ahsoka as Darth Vader; following Anakin’s demise, Ahsoka reappeared throughout the galaxy.

Grand Admiral Thrawn Played By Lars Mikkelson

Thrawn is one of the biggest characters in the show, as he was lost in space while fighting with Ezra, and should he reappear would certainly mark a villainous role. Lars Mikkelsen, who voiced the character in Star Wars Rebels, plays Grand Admiral Thrawn. Among many other parts, the Danish actor is renowned for his groundbreaking performances in The Killing, Sherlock, and House of Cards.

The admiral is one of the most fearsome generals of the empire. After Return of the Jedi, the heir apparent to the throne, Thrawn, reconstructed the fascist organization. The figure was inserted into Rebels as a high-ranking Imperial who opposed the Ghost crew once the Thrawn books were revealed to be Legends. Eventually, Thrawn and Ezra were lost in space.

Other supporting characters include:

• Lady Morgan Elsbeth, a major lackey of Admiral Thrawn. 
• An important villain, Mon Mothma, is played by Genevieve O’Reilly, a senator and one of the crucial spearheads of the rebel alliance.
• Baylan is played by the late Ray Stevenson, a mercenary who works for the empire.
