According to Deadline, the “Abracadabra 2” sequel has logged more than 2.7 billion minutes watched, making it the most-watched movie in Disney+ history.
In the period from September 30 to October 2, the feature film broke the record for ‘Encanto’ animation, which recorded 2.2 billion minutes watched during the same period.
With the success, will ‘Abracadabra 3’ finally be announced?
Recall that actress Bette Midler revealed that she would like to return for a new film in the franchise:
“I’m envious of other actors who have starred in major franchises as I waited for a sequel to ‘The Breakaway Club’, which never materialized. After 30 years without a sequel to ‘Abracadabra’, I’m glad to finally get that chance to come back. I would love to be part of a franchise – especially involving a character that I love. If they want to do a third movie, obviously he’d like to come back. I can’t imagine what the story would be like, but I love Winifred, and I have a great relationship with Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Enjoy watching:
Previously, Sarah Jessica Parker said the franchise could continue through the animated format: “Kathy [Najimy] has a great idea for the third movie to be an animation. It would be interesting. It would be fun, interesting and innovative, like classic animation. Obviously, I would like to discuss a third film, but it would depend on whether Kathy and Bette would like it too.
