‘A Christmas Story’: Ralphie Returns in OFFICIAL Sequel Trailer; Check!



HBO Max has released the official subtitled trailer for the sequel to the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story,” titled “A Christmas Story Christmas.”

The production hits the streaming platform’s catalog on November 17, just in time for the holiday season.


Peter Billingsley will return as protagonist Ralphie, reprising his role nearly forty years after the original feature film.

Set in the 1970s, the story will now feature Ralphie as a grown man who wishes to create the same magical Christmas experience for his own children.

Nick Schenk (“Cry Macho”, “Gran Torino”), a frequent collaborator of the legendary Clint Eastwood, wrote the screenplay for the sequel. Clay Katis (“Chronicles of Christmas”) directs the project. Billinsgley is also joining as a producer alongside Vince Vaughn.

The plot revolves around an adult Ralphie in the 1970s, who returns to his Cleveland Street home to give his children a Christmas as magical as the one he had growing up. With the same attention to tone from the past, Ralphie reconnects with childhood friends, reconciles the death of his father, and plants the seeds of the origins of a beloved holiday classic.
