‘Eternals’ writers talk about possible introduction of Galactus in MCU

‘Eternals’ is the first MCU film to fully explore the cosmic side behind Marvel’s heroes, opening the possibility for the arrival of acclaimed characters such as Galactus, the World Eater.

During an interview with The Direct, screenwriters Ryan and Kaz Firpo were asked if there was room for the villain in the future of the MCU.

In response, Ryan argued that this was a very promising idea.

“Galactus is a very, very amazing character. Obviously, we’re setting the stage for intergalactic, cosmic, and unimaginable proportions, especially when you kill a space god – and a space god comes to kidnap you and plans to judge Earth, I think. that the door is wide open for the world – devouring the wicked… ”

He continued, supporting fans’ expectations to see a faithful adaptation of the villain.

“Galactus is one of those iconic figures from the Marvel Universe that we are so excited to see as much as the fans. Sometimes you leave the door open and no one knows who will walk through it. Well, the post-credits scenes open up a number of possibilities. Who knows what will happen in the second movie? ”

In any case, he admitted that there is still nothing officially planned for the future.

For him, new ideas can emerge, while others can be rejected.

“The truth is, we still don’t know where we’re going in second, but if the public wants to see it, we’re happy to explore that idea if there’s room. You know, ideas come and go until we find the right place.

Now that the ‘Fantastic Four’ movie is a reality for the future, it could be that Galactus finally earns the limelight it deserves in a few years. So, are you excited to see it on the MCU?

‘Eternals’ follows the journey of quasi-immortal beings, products of the evolutionary divergence that gave birth to the human race millennia ago. The characters relate to several concepts already introduced in previous universe films, from the Celestials (who came out in “Guardians of the Galaxy“) to Thanos, whose own mother was one of his victims.
